Help Goodnotes understand how students prepare for exams using a diary study

Problem

In our onboarding survey we noticed that we have many (high school) students using the app. We wanted to understand how they are using the app when studying for exams, to make sure that we can decide if and what kind of solutions would help them in their process.

Solution

Since studying for exams is a longer process I decided to conduct a diary study using a combination of unmoderated video interviews, sharing of content (of study materials) and a on and ofboarding interview.

Impact

With help of the four archetypes I helped the leadership team pivot their focus area and helped the classroom team build useful features to help students study better. Most of these features are live in the app.
